BSD4health

Our goal is to make brain monitoring simple, quick, and accessible to everyone. The Brain Signature of Dementia for health (BSD4health) tool harnesses the power of artificial intelligence to analyse EEG data, enabling healthcare professionals to detect cognitive impairments—such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia—at earlier stages.
Using a clinical-grade EEG device, our approach identifies subtle brain activity patterns associated with cognitive decline. By integrating AI, we not only enhance diagnostic precision but also provide quantitative insights that support clinical decision-making. This technology quickly extracts characteristic brain patterns related to dementia, offering advantages over traditional measurements like neuropsychological tests, fluid biomarkers, and brain imaging. Its cost-effectiveness promotes accessibility in underserved settings.
Our proof-of-concept research demonstrates the potential of this tool to be incorporated into clinical workflows, achieving our mission to bring new models and innovation into clinical practice, enhancing current assessments, and scaling this knowledge for widespread impact.
